Family-owned and operated, Blue Stone Kitchen employs an incredible team that has been working for so many years together we can finish each other’s sentences. We operate out of a commissary kitchen in Costa Mesa adhering to all regulations set forth by the Orange County Health Authorities, and then some. The health of our employees and the families we serve is priority. With all our divisions, from purchasing, cold kitchen, hot kitchen, sauces and dressings, to marketing and management, we operate like a well-conducted concert, starting before sunrise to prepare your meals fresh daily. Our culinary research and development team writes our menu using the best available ingredients from our suppliers. We don’t miss a beat.
After decades of experience as Executive Chef for leading hotels around the world, in 2006 Chef Azmin established his global cuisine concept through his restaurant Sapphire Laguna. Chef Azmin has been a notable culinary figure and active community member in Orange County for decades. His passion for people shines through in all the many ways he has contributed to our community, from supporting his team members through the COVID-19 pandemic, to establishing scholarships for students in need, to contributing to organizations dedicated to researching nutrition as medicine. As a Type 2 diabetic, Chef Azmin has a unique connection with understanding how our diet affects our wellbeing.
Supporting the local community by sharing his passion for food and offering warm hospitality has always been important to Orange County’s celebrity Chef Azmin. He is honored to have partnered with many different charities and public-service organizations. Among the groups Sapphire Culinary Group has proudly served are MaxLove Project, Miracles for Kids, Live for Others Foundation, Father Serra’s Food Pantry, Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), and Age Well. We’re pleased to share that donations through Chef Azmin have raised more than a half-million dollars for JDRF alone.
Chef Azmin is a visionary. His passion for food and community led him to introduce an in-house, health-focused dining program, Sapphire at Work, on the Orange County campus of a major corporation. The market and café serve more than 700 satisfied employees daily.
In addition to providing world-class cuisine, Chef is wholly committed to improving childhood nutrition; in 2008, he founded Sapphire at School. The innovative school lunch program currently partners with eight Orange County schools and prepares fresh, wholesome, and flavorful meals for thousands of students daily.
Always looking to support his community, in 2019, Chef Azmin created a senior wellness meal delivery program, offering affordable 3-meal-a-day packages to thousands of seniors in need. In 2020 alone, he served close to 250,000 meals through this program.
